Swinging Through the Summer

I have been having fun the past few weeks. Last week after a trip to Madison with Tim we went to The Show Boat with Tony to see Swing Crew. They are a drinking band from here in Wisconsin, and they play every tuesday during the summer at The Show Boat in Wisconsin Dells. Tim liked them so much he decided to come along to see them during Canal Days on Friday. At one point we got him to go up on stage with them to do a song. He played the Belly Bongo during the song “My Ding-a-ling“. We went and saw them this past Tuesday too, and plan to next Tuesday!

In other news, I have a job! It is a full time job working in the in-house design team of SVA. I will be mostly doing production work, and a little designing. I think it will be a great opportunity for me to get into the industry and see what it can be like. I start on June 11th. Time to get my sleep schedule fixed! 🙂

In really old events…

I never made a post about the Party my teacher Emmalee had at the end of school for the ViComm students. It was tons’o fun. I learned I like Hummuse and Chunky Guacamole, at least the kinds Emmalee makes. The stuff in the Wikipedia link looks nothing like what she had there.

Afterword I went and hung out with some of the ViComm peeps. That was a blast. Though I now know Fleischman’s can give you a nasty head-ache the next day. I need to find a time to hang out with em again :). Also can’t wait for game night at Emmalee’s.

‘Spider-man 3 The Game’ Sucks 3 Parts of Ass.

I recently had the displeasure of playing Spider-man 3 The Game on my XBox 360. I had never taken the time to try the last 2 versions of this game when they were out last generation, but I heard good things about them. So when I started hearing reviews about the newest in the line I thought they were just being hard on it because it was not much different from the previous ones.

Nope, this one sucks 3 parts of ass. The camera sucks, and is always spazzing out. The voice acting is lame for most of the characters despite getting the people who portrayed them in the movie to voice the game. You hear the same lines over and over and over. Missions are repetitive and at times stupidly difficult. Like skydiving and jumping onto the top of a speeding car. Along with some fights where the game gives you no way to regain health. The graphics are barely past last generation. The way it makes you watch scenes over and over when you fail at a task, while having dialogs that don’t show the confirmation buttons right away because they assume you will be still smashing the buttons franticly at that point.

The only reason I kept playing was because of the damned achievements! I love achievements, and they kept me playing this frustrating game long past the point I should have. Who ever at Microsoft came up with them is a genius. But damn do they suck when you keep telling your self “ok just one more, then I am done…” and the game you are playing is revolting.

I hear the problems are even worse on the PS3, with all this you have to perform a long install of the game on the PS3 hard drive just to play…

I do have to say, when I first started playing everything seemed ok, and swinging around the city really is fun, but thats about all that I would say good about it.

Watched: Life on Mars

I finished watching Life on Mars a few days back. It is an awesome show, I highly recommend watching it if you ever get a chance.

* Don’t watch it out of order, watch Season 1 in order, then Season 2.
* Don’t watch the US version that will be coming out some day, just the one that aired on the BBC.
* No, the car don’t have eyes in the show.

Warrior World has a New Home

I have re-designed the Warrior World information page I had created, and made it more presentable. It will also eventually have videos of each episode I have posted too. Currently it only has a hand full. I have been playing with this off and on for awhile now, and over the past 2 days I managed to get things rolling a bit better on it. I can’t guarantee and speedy updates to the site, but I expect to get it updated when I can.

Snow Bunny and Snow Kitty

My Dad, brothers and friend Ricky made some snow “men” yesterday. Turned out kind of interesting :). And then today, a person from the Portage Daily Register showed up to take a picture and get info. So look for them if you happen to subscribe :).
